100 Years of Big Bands

Our new show for 2021/22 celebrates a century of big band music. We'll be taking you back to the New Orleans roots of jazz, stopping off at Paul Whiteman, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Buddy Rich before arriving at contemporary artists such as Michael Bublé.

Matt Ford will be joined once again by Nicola Emmanuelle, who proved a huge hit on our Abbey Road concert. There will be plenty of band numbers in the programme too, tracing the progression of big band music through key figures such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Stan Kenton plus a nod to the British greats Ted Heath and John Dankworth.

We have an ambitious tour lined up for the coming months and will be putting in more concerts for 2022. Tickets are not yet on sale but you'll be the first to know as soon as they are. Do spread the word, there are a lot of seats to sell! The dates are on our diary page and include new venues for us, Cadogan Hall in London and the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre.
