A heart-warming charity performance

Started by a British teenage girl, Corinne Murphy, who after accompanying her parents on a work trip to Kenya witnessed first hand the poverty faced by the children of the region. After a serious car accident and feeling even more grateful to live the life she had Corinne set up the Karibuni Charity, with her pocket money.
Her first mission was a sponsored cycle ride which raised enough to employ her first teacher in Kenya! This was back in 1990 and since then the charity has gone from strength to strength and has closely supported over 700 children to fulfill their educational potential.

The LP Swing Orchestra are proud to have been chosen to present our '100 Years of Big Band' concert at The Swan Theatre in High Wycombe on Sunday afternoon 23rd March.  All the profits will go to support this small and very effective charity. We are told there will be some lovely stalls selling Kenyan arts and crafts, so bring your piggy banks along!
