Be part of our live TV audience
We are delighted to announce that Sky Arts have commissioned us to produce a Christmas Big Band programme for broadcast this December. We're going to be back on the telly! Here's where you come in...
The filming of this concert will take place at 8pm on Monday 28th November at The Stables in Milton Keynes and we need an audience! We want to give Sky the best Big Band show ever screened but we can't do this if the room is half empty. Owing to the laborious process of contract negotiations, tickets have only just gone on-sale, giving us just six weeks to fill all the seats.
So far, the line-up for this festive concert includes Gary Williams, Julia Sullivan and swing violinist extraordinaire Ben Holder. Watch this space though - there will be one or two special guests joining us too.
The Stables is a fantastic concert hall, built by John Dankworth and Cleo Laine to be the perfect venue for a big band. The lighting and set promises to exude all things Christmas! This will be matched by all your festive favourite songs including White Christmas, Jingle Bells, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.
As tickets have only just gone on-sale, booking now will enable you to grab the best seats in the house. If you get yourself somewhere near the front, there's a good chance you'll be on TV too!
Your support on this is much appreciated. Our crusade to get Big Band music back in the mainstream is going well but we can't do it without you!
