DAME JOAN’S BAND OF CHOICE

A couple of months back we received a call from none other than Percy Gibson, husband of Joan Collins. The couple were arranging their 20th Wedding Anniversary party and wondered if we could supply them with a small orchestra suitable for the event. Following a rather lovely meeting with Joan and Percy in their London apartment, Joe assembled an ensemble (complete with violins we might add!) to provide the soundtrack to the evening.

What a night it proved to be! Joe is the first to admit that he’s pretty useless at knowing which celebrities are which so he had to canvass sightings from the band. Between them they spotted Liz Hurley, Jeffrey Archer, Simon Cowell, James Blunt, Simon Le Bon, Christopher Biggins, Gloria Hunniford, Sarah Ferguson and Judith Chalmers. Our set concluded with a fully choreographed routine featuring eight dancers and a specially commissioned Charleston version of the Dynasty theme. It was every bit as showbiz as you'd hope!
