It's a delight to welcome to our trumpet section George Hogg. George will be taking Trevor Barber's old seat after Trevor's retirement last year. He's been deputising regularly in the band for a number of years now so I know he'll be the perfect fit. A first-call jazz player for many bands, George has one of the most fantastic ranges on the trumpet in the business. He plays regularly in the Ronnie Scott's Jazz Orchestra and previous credits include the BBC Big Band, Jamie Cullum, Kenny Wheeler, Tom Jones and even Kylie Minogue (but don't let that put you off)! Watch out for some high-note acrobatics and classy jazz solos from George. Do welcome him to the fold next time you see him on a gig.
