Swingin' At The Savoy

Just over a year ago you may remember us telling you about a star-studded wedding that the Orchestra were invited to play for in the South of France. Well, they do say in this business, timing is everything. During the Orchestra's set, Netflix and West-End star Richard Fleeshman asked to sing 'Feeling Good', he loved performing with the orchestra so much that he hired the Savoy Theatre and the LPSO for a one night only 'Big Band Spectacular!'

As you are probably aware, there is a lot that happens behind the scenes to make a concert (at any venue) happen. Songs chosen, arrangements sourced or newly commissioned, rehearsal space booked, musicians fixed, music rehearsed, cups of tea made.....the list goes on! You can see the concentrated faces of the saxophone section and the pre-concert preparations in the photos. It's serious stuff you know!! Thanks to the band and music arrangers for all their hard work.

We are really pleased to say that the concert at The Savoy Theatre was a total sell-out with a reception from an audience that (almost) took the roof off! Excitingly, there looks to be more in the pipeline for the LPSO with Richard Fleeshman. Watch this space!
