Joe started in the band as the bassist. When Len Phillips retired in 2010, he took over as bandleader but continues to work as a session and jazz bass player. He has recorded and toured with artists including Burt Bacharach, Michael Feinstein, Noel Gallagher, Tony Christie, Joss Stone, The Puppini Sisters and Curtis Stigers. Orchestral work includes the Royal Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and John Wilson Orchestras.
