RIP Dennis Lotis

We were very sad to hear of the passing of Dennis Lotis. He was a tremendous help to Len Phillips in the early days of the band; helping to put us on the map. He appeared regularly with us over the years, also appearing on one of our albums.

No doubt many of you will have your own memories of Dennis. When Joe had his first gig running the band, it was a tribute concert to Lita Roza and Dennis was the star guest. He was a true gent who made everyone feel at ease immediately. Even in his later years, Dennis still had that twinkle in his eye that could light up a stage the moment he walked on with his opening signature number “Get Happy”.

The Guardian ran an obituary a few weeks ago which is still available on their website here.

Our thoughts and condolences go to Dennis’ family and friends.

RIP Dennis
